What is the composition of the Khaïden jewelry?
The majority of our jewelry is made from plated gold (a layer of 2 micron 24 carat gold plated) or plated silver (a layer of 10 to 20 microns of pure silver). Their base is made of brass covered with a layer of bronze for gold, and brass for silver. The jewelry is treated to limit the risk of allergies and contains no nickel. The jewelry is adorned with real semi-precious stones and cultured pearls.
How do I look after my Khaïden jewelry?
Store your jewelry in its original case. If you would like to save space by keeping all your jewelry together, we recommend wrapping them in tissue paper to prevent the stones from damaging each other. Avoid keeping your rings or bracelets on when you wash your hand. Soap when not rinsed properly can damage and dirty the stones. Pearls are fragile and porous and very tender and can only be cleaned with a damp and soft cloth. Generally speaking, in order to keep the shine of your jewelry, it is best to avoid contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, salt water, sun protector oils, alcohol, chemicals, lemon and any other acid that could alter their color.
It is therefore recommended to take your makeup off and put perfume on before putting on your jewelry.We recommend that you regularly clean your jewelry with the help of a delicate soft brush. You can also put your brush under hot water to soften the bristles before starting the cleaning process. Then, rinse the jewelry in warm water and be careful to dry it with a soft and dry cloth. Your jewelry will gradually patina. It is therefore likely that it will darken over time.In the case where a precious stone or rhinestone comes off, due to impact for example, never use quick glue as it could damage the jewelry.
